steering column`s


i have a 65 bug and was woundering if i could change column`s with a later model so that i could have the blinker`s and wiper on the column and what model would be best

It can be done, you need a late beetle column,
I used a late type 3 in my old oval but it needed a bit of body work to make it fit right.

I used a Series 1 Golf... a fair bit of stuffing around but it can be done.

As Dave said they dont just bolt straight in body work has to be adjusted.

But the end result looks factory and better access to the controls, wipers and high beam switch

thanks guys. do you use the old shaft or change it to . just so i need to know what to buy . if i figger right i should only have to change the column
