The real "rat lookers" have bare spring seats with mexican blankets or similar over them. No or stripped interior boards. No carpet. Minimal weight is the name of the game....

and no door panels u say, just the bare shell of the door showing? and no carpet...

A sliced up interior would cause some serious roadworthiness issues... Not that it always matters but just saying :)

Pity I threw out that set of early Beetle door panels. They were black with white piping around the edge and were in great condition apart from being old and worn (no holes or scratches and vinyl still soft). Turfed them down the tip in a shell I got rid of...

i reckon worn red/white lowbacks and doorcards without vinyl on them would look sweet. maybe some dechromed winder and door handles too.

Nicely done !!

Looks a good project car - do you know what year it is yet ? (small rear window - must be fairly early)

Will look good with BRM's and 2110 on 48 IDA's !!!! :)
