Stubborn bolt..
I'm in the process of unbolting the body from the chassis, and so far all of the bolts were a sinch apart from the one nearest the rear wheel.
I've used different sockets on it but the end of the bolt seems to have worn--the socket just slips around it.
Any suggestions??
I thought about welding something on to it... I'm gonna have a lot of welding to do on this bug anyway cuz it sure is riddled with rust. Fun fun

Try using a single hex socket and give it a tap onto the head of the bolt.
Use a little heat as well this tends to loosen things.

Thanks Dave.. I heated it up very hot and used a straighter socket. Cheap sockets are as good as cheese. I hate 'em, and I wonder about the
people who bought them for me.

I usually have success with soaking with some penetrating oil (kero often does the trick). Then try some of these sockets that grip the flats rather
than the corners. Most brands seem to make them these days. As usual good quality tools help.
Black_math's suggestion is also a good one. Rustly bolts often need to be 'broken loose' before they budge. A few good sharp hits with
a hammer (on the head or end of the bolt) can help loosen them.

how about a kangaroo spanner or a pair of stilsens after soaking in penetrating oil. just don`t break it as that`ll make ya swear some
