Allow me to introduce myself
Hey you all
Steve from Canberra here. I own a lovely rare Mk2 GTI 2dr 8V privately imported from England (gen 112bhp, unlike the Aussie ones!) Thought I would get
involved, and eventually link up sometime at shows, events etc...
There isnt much happening in Canberra VW wise, with the demise of our club in 2001, but every year, we participate in the Shannons German Autofest, an
all German Marque show.
For the last two years, I have coordinated the VW side and included a cruise and picnic the day before. It is becoming quite a popular outing with 50
participants over this years weekend.
Next years show is on the 25th & 26th September. Stay tuned for more info.

Thanks for your warm welcome. Glad some of you were at our show. Hope to get to a few more next year, and I guess I will hear about them on this
forum.
Definately going to the nationals next year. Its on my Birthday weekend, so I will be celebrating with the drag racing!!! Anyone want a race?
