tech websites?
hey can anybody direct me to some technical type website, with alot of BASIC aircooled info, preferably pics also, of what motors are in which cars,
how a aircooled boxer is best assembled, what fits onto what, and just general aircooled VW engine info.
so far I can see the cae is the base of the motor, the barrels bolt to that, then the heads go on top, with pushrods in tubes underneath, I really
want to find out what the differences are in cases and heads.
otherwise I will need to go annoy every VW shopp in adelaide, and any wreckers I can find with any aircooleds in them, and just waste alot of
everybodys time
BTW I spent about 6 months after a car accidnet online learning much about rotaries, then about a day in wreckers looking around finding that if I use
parts from about 6 different mazda models, I can bolt a rotor in my car with only minimal fabrication/modification. I will do this with VW's as
well if i need to

http://www.aircooledtech.com
This site has a lot of good info including a full step by step engine rebuild and about 6 months of tech links. I would also recomend a book called
How to keep your VW alive for the complete idiot by John Muir. I'm not sugesting anything about you with the book everyone has it.
