Parcel from the US (Rob K have a look)
A colleague just walked in the door with these beauties:-
Split screen Bus reduction box plugs for stopping leaking reductions at US$14 each (Rob thought you might want a peek). A bit exy, but cheaper than a
new gearbox!
And an early bus/early beetle/ghia windscreen motor rewound to 12V (US$35 each)

I will need a wiper motor, 12 volt for my 57, how much was it.
I have seen them advertised in the Yank mags.
How long did it take for them to post it?
Cheers
Dave

The wiper armature was US$35. I had a colleague from work over in the US, and he brought them back for me! one for the splitty, and one for the 356.

I spent yesterday afternoon fitting the armature to my 65 Splitty. After taking the dash apart and pulling the mechanism out, it took me all of 5 mins
to replace the armature. I put it all back in, and hey presto I now have wipers that do not from too slow at idle to insanely fast when at revs (yes I
do have a resistor). The only thing is that the motor is a bit noisier but the instructions said it would be.
Well worth the money.

mmmmm.....12V armatures
Plugs looks good steve, let us know how
they fit? (although they've been available
in the US for a while now and I've heard no complaints....).
Wish a local supplier was supplying the 12V armatures (is one?)....... small motor rewinders
are all around the place but I bet they'd
want to do 100 as a minimum!
