Tip of the day from Mum
Got this tip from my Ma back in ireland. If you have stained plastic, or some chrome that needs cleaning, then just buy some Steradent denture cleaner
and soak your plastic items in there overnight. Its great for cleaning up chrome but don't leave your parts soaking for more than 15-20 mins as
the Steradent will start stripping the chrome.
To show you here is some window winder escuthons and a chrome window winder. To show you the effect I also put a couple of 20c coins I found under the
battery (one is a 1967 which I think may have been there since then).
The active ingredient is Sulfamic Acid and I used three tablets to do this:-

Works a treat, I might try that, my ivory coloured knobs and bits are a bit like old peoples teeth and would benefit greatly from such a treatment.
Thanks,
{its at this point I find out that he really just swapped the plastic bits in the photo for new ones in the second photo and I put mine in the
solution and they all turn to black mud}:cry

Barry, That steradent is powerful stuff! No the other three were done. The really tarry looking one ended up still looking tarry (UV stained and
aged). The other two looked as good as the others shown. Steradent does not however remove scratches and chips!!
And before anyone asks my Mum still has all her teeth (she uses this
stuff to clean tea stains from cups!)

Good tip,
Another is to put your silicon spray on tyres/black bits BEFORE you wash the car.....
Maybe we should start a 'Top tips' thread to not hijack this. |

...."it gets in?"....."like liquid into this chalk?.....
or........"ripper Rita". Bunny who was Rita used to work in a costume hire place, and used to hate it when people recognised her. People who
do these type of ads must hate it when they're recognised years later.

Drink it Freddy, drink it.
{Nestle Quick}
or
Wash your hands geofferry,
with the Solvol Geofferry.
{Solvol Soap}
Which colour came first? you're probably right, I was born in 1970 so my memories of such things are quite early and probably a bit distorted.
But I do remember Mike Walsh. and Aunty Jack. and the bank of wales ad with the MG TF in it.:thumb

Just what happened to our Aussie shows?
I hardly watch the TV anymore, mostly all U.S sitcoms now, about dodgy humour or how America-ans saves the world.
Aussie shows were something to look forward to. pity there all gone!
