help me get my Notch Running Properly


VW Notch '64 6V Solex single carby

Scenario:
Not started for many months

Symptons:
Fuel problem - Beleived to be rectified... But now ... Misses back fires runs like a piece of !@#$%.

Fault Diagnosis & repairs:
Replaced Fuel Pump
Replaced Fuel Lines
Inserted Fuel Filter
Had carby rebuilt - Professionally
Checked for strong spark at all spark plugs - OK
Found spark plugs very sooted - Wire brushed clean

Any ideas .. Please please help .. I'm running out of ideas and money!

I want to get to vintage rego day on Sunday.

Appologies for not posting in Technical ... Looking for a quick reply

if you've checked everything and it's still running funny, try driving it, may help clear it out a bit after not running for a while.....
