Easier and cheaper way is to get an old gearbox section with the starter motor attached. Ive had one for years.

I've got an old gearbox casing, bolted to an engine stand with casters. Like Dave said. It's always easier to adjust things with the engine out of the car. Then when it's running great, then put it in the car, once.:D
