Kombi Carb troubles

Nothing major - but

Daisy wasnt reving up the other day when in neutral or park

Turned out to be the soilenoid shut off at the front of the LHS carb (thanks Lou)

Now - Seem to have a bit of idling trouble when cold. Warms up - no prob.
Obviously choke.
The LHS doesnt seem to "spring" closed when cold. (Its the wifes car so its a bit hard to tinker or check at work, stuff on engine hatch etc) and not opening when hot. Seems loose so its not binding

The PDSIT dont seem to have the lever like on a Pict.
Is it the same choke element/spring as the Pict or Weber??

The only thing that drives the butterfly is the spring - yes??

If it isnt binding the only thing is to change the element???

Funny - Picts and Webers i will dive into and rip things to pieces. The wifes kombi is harder to get pictures of these PSDIT or whatever they are and is not as easy :jesus

Choke on PDSIT is the same priciple as on PICT but not interchangable. They are a slightly larger diameter.
If as you say the choke butterfly turns freely, a few other things may cause the problem.
Does the choke get power? If yes, it can be either the coil is broken (the bit that heats up) or the bi metallic strip is broken (the coily bit with the hook you see)
And yes, either of these means replace it
