My bus was flooded!!!!! Help!!!
Im devistated!! my kombi got caught in the floods during the week, water half way up the bus, totally trashing all the carpet and mud throughout. not
only trashing it but it wont go anymore, the engine has mud troughout, ive checked the carbi- dry.What else should i do, it does click when you try to

Is the battery flat Rachel. Might even be stuffed if it filled up with flood water.
I would definitely change the oil and dry out the points in the distrubutor before trying to start it.
If the crank case is full of water then running the motor could cause some damage. Drain the oil you drain the water.

Be a little careful
You could have got a mothful of water in one of the cylinders.
Water does not compress. Can lead to trouble
First off
* check battery
* pull plugs and look for water
* try and turn motor over by hand with plugs out plugs out
* if ok try and turn motor over by starter with plugs out
* if ok - put plugs back in and trouble shoot from there
* if wont turn over it is starter motor trouble and trouble shoot from there

Bummer.
As soon as you have it going again, get the front wheel bearings serviced and repacked with grease.
If you have any leaks or failures in the CV boots of the rear drive system, get the CVs inspected and repacked as well.
In the wet season in Brazil, front wheel bearings failed regularly a week after flooding.
Due to water getting into odd places, this summer would be a good time to apply fishoil in all the body cavities (of the Kombi...), drilling and
plugging afterward where necessay.

I had that with a mini once the flood came at 2 am with no warning it went in over the roof lucky it didnt float away
we changed oil, drained the petrol tank you also might want to check your gearbox bearings etc.
Will you be doing this yourself or getting someone else to do it?
if you have to pay someone it would run into hundreds of dollars?
