Automatic ratios and stuff

Can anyone out there help me out with some info on the gear ratios and final drive ratios of the VW automatic transmissions.

I've got some info on the type 3 auto tranny but I don't have anything on the kombi boxes.

I'm toying with the idea of putting one in a Eureka with a 12A Mazda rotary behind it to create a low slung cruiser.

Any info or directions to more info would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure you find its the same box as a Type 3.

Thanks for those (obviously) kombi figures.

Sounds like a type 3 auto might be more suitable due to the taller final drive.

Can you enlighten me on what is meant by "Converter maximum torque multiplication - 2.5 " please?

And what sort of selector linkages do they use or is it the same sort of setup as a manual box in a type 1 or type 3?

Thanks again,

The selector linkage in a Type 3 uses a solid cable set up from the left hand side of the gearbox.
