What YEAR for which Body/engine number?

Hi there,
I am looking for some details of Body (Chassis) and engine numbers! Specefic to a 1952 T1 to 1955 T1.

Here is a hint (I may have found an EARLY) beetle; I need to clarify the Chassis/engine numbers to give confirmation.

I am eager to go and have a look at the vehicle (AM 10 Dec 03) with the above data to confirm my beliefs.

Any help from the historians out there would be appreciated.

Regards
Mck H

The Chassis number should read 1- something if its earlier than 55.

should be a number under 1 million if theres no dash after the 1 then its later than 1 million.
