Additives in Fuel

What symptons would you get if you put the wrong amount of additive if you were using a premiun unleaded fuel on a 30 year old 1600 Motor

This subject has come up before, and the upshot of it was- you do not need any fuel additives for VW motors they will run fine on Unleaded fuel either normal or Premium unleaded.
If you think you have added too much fill up again to dilute it, but i doubt there would be any harm done .

I've been running unleaded in my T1 1600, for years. No problems so-far.

assuming you are talking upper cylinder /valve seat additive rather than an octane booster putting too much or too little additive in a few tanks of fuel should have have no effect, the additives (ei Flashlube etc) are cumulative - non in for a few tankfuls would be OK , too much & the side effect is you wasted money, it is not a necessity in a VW but I use it as added precaution

Please, I need drivers side window regulator (winder mechanism) for my '54 http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l266/Kombikim/avatar1.jpg
