Can any one tell me what this is???

I can see it is some sort of ball joint

The word TRANS is cast into the base plate thing and stamped into the base of the ball joint thing

To me it looks like some sort of steering joint.

The flat plate looks like it could mate up with a "pitman arm" off a steering box.

This is all VW stuff

You may remember several months ago i posted about an Ascort that was for sale

Well its finally sold.

These are a few bits from the shed - so i can only imagine that they some how fit a Karman Ghia???

Anyway..... lets keep guessing

Barry knowing Jenkins its looks like a lower control arm ball joint of a ford or holden.

It aint of a VW thats for sure.
