VW Brake Cylinder Sizes

Whilst hunting for replacement parts for my 356 braking system, I've been trying to find details on the various VW wheel and master cylinder sizes.

Does anyone know what sizes VW used in their a/c vehicles. I know that the split bus uses 22mm master cylinder, and there are lots of beetles with 19mm wheel cylinders.

Has anyone got any info on this?

Thanks

Steve

The early ones used 17mm wheel cylinders. Pre 60 I think.

My main reason for asking is to find out which wheel cylinder has two mounting bolts, as these can be used on the rear of a 356. The 356 one has four mounting bolts, and costs about 4 times more than a VW one.

So the ones I need are the rear Ovals up to early 58.

Anyone know how available these are????

Thanks

Steve
