Interior trim

Firstly I'm new to VW's so be gentle!
I have a '68 Beetle Convertible with crappy interior trim -mainly carpets and door panels- what I need to know is, what other models/years trim will fit. ie are all Beetles the same dimensions inside?

diy

i just retrimmed my girlfriends convertible and door panels and that are not that hard to do your self . pull them off they are clipped on then remove old shite cover and staple new material off your choice on. spotlight stores sell a product called frontrunner that is like thin flexible carpet that is ideal for triming and it is about 8 bucks a meter. 15 bucks gets U a kmart power stapler and away you go . the frontrunner is also good for carpeting as it is very flexible and easy to mould to shapes etc. i always thought denim would be a cool trim as well.

trim

if the actual inside door panels are shot then get yourself some thin ply and use the old trim to trace the shape on the wood then glue some felt to one side and then some vinyl and there u hav it new door trim ......just be sure to cut holes for window winders and the such

Actually I didn't want to re-trim the panels (been there, got the T shirt etc) I wanted to do it the lazy way, change my old ones (that the PO spray painted black!) for newer ones, preferably with door pockets.
