Not good news at all.... I hope you can fix your broken cherry. Still, it could be worse; at least you haven't lost it!

Bugger, good to hear your OK. The bug can always be fixed ( well most of the time anyway). Shani also had an accident a couple of weeks ago in the wet
and did a fair bit of damage to Belle(again). Hope you get back on the road soon.

still in shock! this is probably the only time my parents will endorse me drinking a whole bottle of wine, better make the most of it!
damage doesnt seem too bad, my bf thinks we should have a go at some fiberglassing this weekend... either way its drivable and hopefully the damage to
the other car doesnt cost too much.
i didnt realise that spinning could be such a shocking feeling! damage is pissy to what alot of people have experienced, though this is my
FIRST ever accident (i guess you get used to it/over it with time) so thank F**K alot of my car is fiberglass!!
please please! everyone be careful of this rainy yukky weather and take it easy on the roads... thanx
btw...how much is a fiberglass bumper and wheel guard? i have no idea as my car came already kitted. |

pics of broken bits
does this look too expensive to fix up, or should i take it to someone to fix?
funnily enough, though my guard and headlight lens smashed, the actual bulb is unscathed... guess i can still drive at night then! |

Looks Like a replaced fender, and a bumper respray, Wouldnt think it would be over $400.
I was quoted $180 to respray a bonnet, so it can't be more then that, I don't think

I feel for you, my first bit of car damage was during the wet. on a 80kph road and an animal, dog or fox not sure ran out. I swerved and missed the
dog but went sideways and collected a white post on the side of the road. I felt terrible.
I just went to supercheap, bought a little fiberglass repair kit and the closest match spray paint I could (remember spray putty too!) and fixed it
myself. It looked fine with my then old paint job. Your car being a plain red you should find it easy to find a matching spray can. Fiberglassing
isn't too hard. I fiberglassed the broken bits together, then used bog on top to get it all level. I found bog easier to sand than the hard
fiberglass resin.
Not a perfect fix, but not bad either. :thumb

Not good news...but glad the damage was not real bad and that you're OK
Wet roads are not my fav condition to drive in...and it really rains hard up your way:jesus
Amazing about the bulb....sounds like you could still drive Cherry if the steering/wheel is still OK

Thats nothing! can be fixed quite easily, thats the beauty of glass & gel coat.
Take the gaurd and bumper off take it to a boat repairer for the glass and get it repaired then just get it painted again!
