Yeah, had one in my Okrasa powered '60 Beetle in 1969, and haven't seen one since. Not sure of manufacturer.

dave, hav u seen one of these before?

yeh jason, thanks, its amazing wat u find in some peoples garages..:D

costa it folds down, like flat against the transmission tunnel,
i dont know why this one does it though, ive seen them where they lock down as a security device so no one can use ur gears, but this doesnt hav the a lock.

desert bug, wat did u do with it, did u just lie it flat wen u parked or something?

maybe good for wen u hav ur girl in the front seat and dont want a shifter sticking into u...:kiss

Sam, I would suggest that if you install this on your car and it's a daily driver, bring an open-end spanner and a spare gearstick. I had one in my Ghia years ago and it broke, I was stuck. The same episode happened to a friend too. If it is in really good condition, it shouldn't be a problem, they tend to be old and worn by the time we usually find them...

Old and worn, allright i,ll get my mind out of the gutter now, you will youassually find them in an early beetle acompnied with the camper adjustable front seats, you simply push the front seats all the way foward then lay the back of the front seats down, with the gear stick down allready(not yours) then fold the top of the back seat foward, hey presto a bed and a bit of hanky panky if your lucky.:thumb:thumb:thumb
