yeah i saw that too adam, weird
im pretty sure aussie bound beetles came in MPH until about 74 or so. and has anyone ever seen front bullet indicators like that????

I have seen those indicators before on an old truck! Would guess they are some sort of aftermarket additon. Bolts in the b pillars was a common
practice for mounting seat belts in Aus, have seen those in old holdens as well.

Yeah, pretty sure they are just lights off an old truck, like the ones you see on the roofs - outline light(?)
Look like they have been left in the sun.
As for the speedo - i guess ALL European bugs km speedo's

I had a new 1300 beetle in 74 which had a speedo in MPH with a KMH sticker on the glass. So I guess 74 was about when they changed over.

I got a full set from Clark Rubber here in bendigo, they are Black and you cant get new white ones like the originals.
