Volkswagen Magazine Australia
Howdy Everyone,
I've just this minute finished the layout for Issue#1 of the new mag and delivered it to the printers. I can now take some time to chat on the
forum.
Firstly, a big thank you for all the well wishes and comments of support for the magazine. Launching a National Magazine is a daunting task, and if it
were not for the encouragement of businesses and individuals alike, the task would be almost impossible.
From a 100% bias viewpoint, the magazine looks great. The first issue will be 72 pages full colour glossy, with the page content increasing to 110 by
years end. There's something in it for everyone, and I have enjoyed meeting so many Volkswagen people and sharing their stories.
I have noted a few questions about availability of the magazine on the forum. Yes, subscriptions will be available, and details are in the first
issue. Yes, your local newsagent should be selling it, but to make certain, ask your local newsagent to specifically request the title from NDD, the
magazines national distributor. And for those debating whether subscription or newsagent shelf is the best way to go, please keep this in mind. I am
more than happy to fill subscription orders, and I am more than happy for you to buy it off the shelves. NDD will be more likely to renew any
distribution deal if the copies sell well. And a distribution deal is the key to VMA surviving.
I hope you will enjoy the magazine, and I will be attending quite a number of VW events this year, starting with DUBS By The Pub in Qld on Sunday, 8th
of February.
Come and have a chat.
Cheers
Craig Hughes

Thank you for opening the door here in Australia for all VW owners to have a local mag. (again)
For too long we have all been buying overseas's mag's, & now its gonna' be great knowing that we can look in your mag, see anything
& buy it here locally & admire the VWs & know that we could see that VW on our street at any time.
I realize you have put hard work & effort into your new mag....Thank you... it is appreciated.
I will be getting a subscription asap.

Welcome Craig as ive said before.
The best thing for everyone to do is go along to their local newsagent the one they usually go too and ask them to order fron NDD for the 11th of
FEB the NEW VMA maggazine.
This will give NDD some idea of how many copies to send to each of the newsagents selling them.

Magazine Availability
Hi Guys,
Remember, this is a new title, and is not officially listed until February.
Newsagents have thousands of magazine titles to contend with each day, so they may not be totally committed to chasing a request for something they
have not seen yet.
If you ask them to make a note of your request, I'm sure as Feb 11th draws near, NDD will make them aware of it in due course.
The good news is, because I am on the forum, if you look like still missing out after February 11th, drop us a line and I'll arrange to put
things right.
Cheers

Here's a little trick I did for a friends novel.
When ever you see it stocked. Move it to the most prominent position and what ever was there move that directly below it.
It will catch more eyes and hopefully sell more copies.
The mag/book that had the best position before it was usurped usually paid a lot for the privilege - there is a reason!

VW Mag Oz
Awesome ! I was looking for a local VW but couldn't find out and had to settle with a UK one - and that was my first, and last !
Can I assume, it'll be available at most newstands / Borders ?
