The engine parts have been assembled over the past few years and the motor is being assembled in QLD.
Car is being built in QLD and NSW and the final assembly in Victoria.

Apparently the renault 20/21 gearbox is around $450 from an adelaide parts importer, but I have NO idea about fitment into a dub. I can get details
if you need them.

$6500!!!!!! Frig.....Surely, if you picked up a good Type 1 box, threw a few grand at it, it will be just as strong as that GOLD plated G50!

Type 1 Gearbox
Type One Gearbox.
To hold the power you need an autocraft case, cutom ring and pinion, quaife diff, then dog gears.
After all that you are looking at $6500 and you have no guarantee the R&P wont crap itself. ProTurbo in PRA change R&P several times a season
and these cars are lighter with less HP.!!
Type one gearbox cannot handle the BHP of big displacement + turbo

I agree that the R $ P arent up to it, thats a given. But do you really think that the pro turbo cars in the states are running less than 500hp ?
I'd be surprised.
Go the G50 with a full set of Alvins gears oh, hang on were on a budget
arent we.....
How strong can you build a T4 case ? I realise its only 4sp, but it might be a budget alternative ?

Hmmm ....Im confused. You said you werent interested in drag racing, but you talk about the ProTurbo PRA guys. Remember, they are doing very, very
hard launchs which was something I didnt think you were interested in. Regarding your budget, I think you will need to realise the fact that when you
build a motor with that much HP, your going to need to back it up with what ever it takes including a limitless budget! Youll really need to analyse
what your going to be using the car for. Heck, if your never going to launch it too hard, throw a stock gearbox in and see what happens! Youve
obviously put a lot of R & D into your motor, I think it deserves that you do the same for the gearbox. Do some "real time" research.
Visit every track day you can and talk to the guys there. Im sure most of them wouldnt mind talking shop with you.

I think a 2lt 6-rib 091 type 2 gearbox may handle it with some serious internals.
Isn't Penrose running a type 2 of some sort?
I think Dave Butler was running a 091 in his insane supercharged beast.
