KGs needed for the Sydney Mardi Gra!

Hi all, This request was sent to the Australian Karmann Ghia Association. Can anyone help Bill - It would certainly be a sight to see!
Thanks, John Waldron

Dear Karmann Ghia Association,

I currently have 7 Karmann Ghias, 6 being Cabriolets, and one being a coupe.

1974 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet RED 2/74
1974 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet ORANGE 3/74
1972 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet YELLOW 1/72
1974 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet GREEN 2/74
1972 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet BLUE 11/71
1974 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet WHITE 3/74
1974 Karmann Ghia Coupe RED 2/74

Currently I have organized for all but the Coupe to appear in the Sydney Mardi Gra parade, which will be the lead float. Each of the cars will be carrying celebrities for the parade.

All of my Ghias are currently on transport from the USA from a car show that they appeared in. I just found out that my RED, and GREEN Cabriolets will not arrive in Sydney by the 6th of March for the Parade. (shipping delays)

I am in the urgent need of two volunteer Ghia owners to be willing to drive their Green, and Red Cabriolet Ghias, (Any year Model) in the parade in place of my two missing Ghias.

Can you help, can you put a notice on your website for volunteers that might want to be seen on national TV, and in front of 3/4 of a million visitors of Sydney.

The Lead float, or entry for the Parade are the following,

RED | ORANGE | YELLOW | GREEN | BLUE , all the colours of the rainbow. It would be fantastic if other fellow Ghia Cabriolet Owners might be able to come to the party, and fill in for the RED and GREEN ghias.

I also would like to be a part of the Karmann Kruze 2005, and would like to run all of my Ghias on the Convoy, and I would volunteer for a state organize for NSW, if you require one.

Kindest Regards,
Bill Holden

I was going to see if beetles would do, that was until I realised that the owners were probably already in the parade....(kidding, just kidding)
