points off!
Gees dave,
that steering wheel isn't correct is it? I say come over here all you people and look at that steering wheel! That's not correct is it?
Have you noticed that steering wheel? Even if a modified theme I don't think that steering wheel is era correct for the vehicle!
Are you going to introduce a 'most welded' category by the way?
RobK
p.s. good going if you get it done. Won;t be any time for Friday crownies!

I should explain
Just realised may last post was horribly obscure and should explain!
I have an obscure running joke going with Dave B. - he basically picked up ALL of the 'incorrect' things (which I knew about and agonised
over) on my just finished 23 window when I took it to the Nationals. So sometimes I sorta carry on like I think he's a nitpicking old bastard -
but he's a top bloke of course.
So the above was sorta a continuation of the above and probably made no sense to Cray at all so I apologise for that....I just get worse at Easter!
I should have said your 68's looking good dude and I hope you could get it finished for the Nationals!

Here is a pic of My 68 Beetle last week.
The engine lid is painted etc and ready to be put back on.. I have done the guard beading on the 4 guards... speedo & switches in.. tail lamps to
be wired in as soon as the temperature gets below 30 degrees... Its still 31 degrees and its 10.50pm... I have Just found that I don't have
any good 1/4 windows to put back in, out of the 6 I have... frames scratched, glass chipped, knobs are all crappy... so I'm on the look out for
2 x 1/4 windows & frames in good condition. I have all new rubbers to put on them..
My Son tells Me I HAVE to put german glass in, as the car was made in Germany
.... as all autos were.
I don't believe mine will be ready for the Nationals..!!! I'll still be there though...
