Adelaide to valla


does anyone from adelaide go to valla (or has gone in the past)

i'd really like to go and i'm just weighing up my options for getting there.

any suggestions?

My suggestion is to leave about a week earlier than Valla, Its a big drive.
Herbie and I did the trip in reverse, it really is at least a 3 day drive, It amazed me how I would get up at dawn and drive all day and all night till about 11 pm then do it again and then again, the road just keeps on coming, However it would be cheaper to just fly with Virgin, and you could hire a car when you got there, if something dies on your VW it could be very costly to fix on the side of the road such a long way from home,
I would do the trip again in an instant, I had a ball.

Put yourself and your car on the indian pacific and drive from sydney with the rest of them driving up from there.
Its only a 26hr trip on the train:thumb

I wouldnt come anywhere near sydney if i wasdriving from Adelaide

Up to Broken Hill then Bourke and across to Armidale. Make sure your carring some spares and tools for the trip.
