either
scoops down and to the right
or
up and to the left
the crank is spinning clockwise and you dont want line of sight to the filler.
The other 2 options will give you this - just visualise it

Whats barry said the first time Scoops down and draining to the right.
You down want the scoops up as that wont allow the oil to return to the sump.
