Brisbane driving Sat Sun

Hi All,

How did you drive your air cooled on the hot hot hot weekend just gone.

I could hardly touch my dip stick after a 20-30 minute drive.

Cheers, Carl.

Search the tech section for clues. There are lots of things that should be in good order to ensure that your air-cooled dub doesn't overheat. :)

I think he was commenting more on the 42 degree Brisbane heat. :o

Well the V6 baja thought it was pretty hot. Cruising around was fine, but racing through mountain ranges the temp started rising. Then on the way home it was getting a bit warm at the top of a mountain range, so I stopped at a lookout and let it idle for 3minutes, the thermo's cool the engine quick. ;)

So looks like I need to add air scoops to drive up mountain ranges in 42 degree heat with the car full of camping gear. :(

Mine isn't buggered, it is just well shaken and loved :thumb

The kombi cruised home in the heat sitting on 110 - 120 degree's. Damn thing over heats at idle though and loves being flogged at 120 weird .... very weird .....

My buggy never got over about 85 degrees on the weekend. Must have been the volume of air the fan was moving :P
