Been a bad boy/girl on the road?????

Just came across this pdf on the RTA website. It is an executive overview of new proposed fines/penaltys for driving offences.

Its interesting to see what your up for if you commit an offence.

Some of the interesting ones are:-

A bus driver splashing mud on a passenger $125fine and no penalty

Doing a burnout gets you a $450 fine, whilst doing an aggravated burnout (whatever that is) gets you $575!!!

Interesting reading at http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/newsevents/downloads/demerit_executive_summary.pdf

Cheers

Steve

My wife pointed out something about that bus driver thing: A person is not a passenger until they are actually on the bus, what if I was seeing off relo's and got splashed? I'm not a passenger!! Someone at RTA have got themselves a very cushy job!!!!

Pretty small fine for doing a burnout....up here the confiscate your car and keep it impounded for a couple of months (no warnings given) plus a fine. If you're caught again you lose the car.Plus a hefty fine and you lose your license. Bummer....don't get caught!!!

You lose a couple of points and get a fine

A majority of people who drive these cars require"SPECIAL" care. The cars are bought with the factory body kits to offer VW drivers an oportunity to laugh. The words HYUNDAI are misleading to us VW drivers as it means "Here's Why You'll Never Drive Another Import" and as VW's are originally imported it just goes to show how technology has not necessarilly changed things for the better. No comment on the burnout as you can smoke a hyundai and it sounds funny when you do. Just don't get caught:kiss

Would a hyundai be capable of doing a burnout??

I thought they just sounded like they could!

I got let OFF for doing a Burn out. The Cop was the cool relaxed type,
it seemed like he was impressed by the Burnout I did.
