Hi rev miss

Ive been chasing it for a while, any suggestions would be appreciated.
On the ignition side Im running a 009 disi with compufire, mallory coil and a hyfire VIal (same as MSD 6al). Plug wires are new, wiring is good, runs fine till about 500 rpm short of the limiter (7000) then develops a miss - If I keep pushing the rev limiter cuts in.
On the fuel side, electric pump, holley reg, dellortos. I had a tank vacuum problem that I fixed (no vent on tank ). I thought maybe it was a pump problem and leaning out.

I thought I might be floating valves, springs are bugpack duals, and only have 900 miles on them. I am going to change them anyway just in case.

Any ideas ???

the sound of valve float is pretty definate...
sure it's still making power at 7000? take it to a dyno and add the figures to the dyno gang bang ;)

You are right its not valve float, Im going to play around with jets. I kind of have to beat it up to stay in the groove with my gearbox.
3.88:1 r and p and stock ratios, it takes a bit of convincing to get to the top of third...
If there was a dyno worth going to within 100 miles of here Id be there.

It's kind of hard for us to guess where 'here' is since you haven't filled out your location. Ettamogah? Turkistan? Mongolia?

Good guess - Kiwi small rural town, bunch of V8 guys locally, gave them a bit of a scare at the local car clubs 1/4 mile sprints (in the pouring rain) ran a 15.57 with no traction in first, yet to get to a real strip.
