StenGuns - holy mangulations

Umm what is that avatar you have with a poor kombi smacked off it's head?

What happened?

Or is it better not asked?

Got hit by an 18 year old f&$kwit in mums Cherokee..

The only consolation is that you couldn't recognise the Jeep after the prang.. But the Bus still looked like a Bus..

I was parked on the roadside.. He knocked the van 45 degrees and 10 metres across the footpath..

Shit happens.. It is being rebuilt.. I've got other toys

I am probably going to get into a shitfight but the other party's insurance company is going to pay for the repair.. My solicitor is handling it.. The other guy is rich.. They either repair it..or find me one exactly like it.. None of this book value bullshit..

cool, got it to work (eventually)

spose i'd better explain now....
this was my '73 bay, my first car, my first dub.
took over 4 years of resto to get it road legal (in the u.k).
then a few months later my friends barn where i was storing it collapsed.
the rest is pretty self explanatory i think.....

holy mangulations indeed:o

They will get a shock when that comes out of the container in England - or wherever it goes.

Maybe they could make a claim on the shipping company for damaged stock. :)

Good luck with it all.

JOKE.

My Dad has a 78 kombi original paint super straight tight everything this is the one he will keep forever and sure enough he gets side swipe t-boned on two wheels and saves it from rolling over.
The lady was real sorry.
It was going to cost $4000 to just fix the panels and we supplied the the 2nd hand panel cuts.
Insurance was offering $1000, what a joke,so Dad forked out to fix something that was not even his fault,he had a perfect bus and now cost him time, iconveniance and also money ofcourse.....no justice,no value for V.W.get your own insurance if you care because the average insurance company will just laugh in your face.

That's why we have all our vehicles comprehensivley insured with Shannons for an agreed value.

I would help lessen the pain if something unfortunate should happen.

Why did you not sue the lady for the cost to repair?..
You have a valid claim for damages.. which are not limited.. If their insurance company doesn't settle in full.. Theres not much you can do to them but that doesn't stop you from sueing for damages..

yeah

I think he said something about that sort of thing but as far as I remember this woman was suffering from psycho traumatic stress so her lawyer says from the prang and if anything was to go to court she would counter sue or some bullshit like that and my Dad could not be bothered so he gave up.
