6V Headlight bulbs

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I could find a 6 volt Halogen headlight bulb to suit my bug? I have checked around all the auto elecs in this area and noone has one. I would consider buying two if they are not going to cause me to extend the mortgage:D

Strange thing happening - the bulb I am replacing looks fine, measures fine (using a multimeter), but does not light up on low beam - this is the second one that has done this! Both of them were bought at the same time and have had very little use (fitted for 18 months in a car that is only driven once a month max, and usually during the day).....

Any help would be great (would even consider a working second hand one to get me back to roadworthy for the time being....)

Thanks Modulus!

Thats a great help! I have sent them a request for their catalogue, so we will see what their prices are like soon....

I bought the last couple of bulbs from a little one man band parts shop here on the coast. He was an older bloke and nothing was too much trouble for him - a rare breed these days (from my experience). Unfortunatly, the shop no longer exisits - they demolished it to build an overpass. I thing the guy that owned it just retired unfortunatly.

Does anyone else have any ideas? Might as well cover all angles....
