this site offers complete stainless steel bolt kits for our VW's!!! at US$102 for a complete body and engine for a beetle this aint bad!!! they
also offer them in different head style's!!!!!

if we get enough interest i might order a catalog we will see how we go i have a photcopy of the beetle and karmann ghia here and have been told there
are kits for kombi's!!
if i had a scanner i would put them up i will try my hardest!

hate to be the doom-sayer, but here goes: stainless WILL rust and do funny things if in contact with ordinary steel.... like the stuff our dubs are
made of. unless you use a special painty compoundy thing between them, available from marine suppliers. try this (get mum's permission first ) everyone has an 18/8 stainless steel sink, right? go get a
non-structurally imperative steel nut from your dub (or lawnmower or neck or whatever) and leave it in the sink for a day or two. then clean up your
rusted sink with scotch brite to stop the rust from continuing to pit the sink
if the nut is greasy, then you'll probably be fine. I love stainless, but you gotta be careful.

You shouldn't use stainless bolts in high load areas because of their tensile strength, stainless bolts tend to be brittle and could fracture in use.
Also the comments on dissimilar metal corrosion is very true, I would recomend cadmium plating as an alternative its what modern cars use. It prevents
corrosion and looks cool too, it has a gold looking finnish. From what i understand it doesn't affect the strength of the fastner either, looks like
a win win situation.
