Whatever happened to the guy that was building the EJ20-TT Oval?

Does anyone remeber the EJ20-TT conversion with porsche gearbox that a guy was doing to a very rusty oval?

Has he finished it yet, or just run out of $$$$?

I'd like to see the latest pics, but can't remember the URL...

Cheers,

Ian.

You got his name right.

Last I heard he had the motor and box in the car,... but that was his last post on here, quite a while back now.

Hey guys. I'm still around and still working on the car. Been a long cold winter. Last weekend I ran the water lines and built one exhaust. Hope to get the other side this weekend. Also working on installing Porsche tach and speedo. Have to make rings to fit around the guage since the hole in the dash is to large. The site is http://photo.starblvd.net/junkyardoval

I watch this with interest. If my motor dies i think this is the way i would go.
Throw the 56 body on my irs'd 68 chassis and run a ej motor. With some turbo twist porsche rims !!!

Good to hear your still working on the project! I've got to admit that as much as

I like my turbocharged VW aircooled engine, there is that alure of the reliability you can get from an EJ20.

Looking forward to seeing some more pics!

Cheers,

Ian.
