Who here is/has been in Rovers?
Just out of interest, who here does or has done Rovers?
I am in Leichhardt rover crew in Blackburn.
We used to race cars in events such as MudBash, BuggyBash, Sandblast, BushRally and there was one in QLD also but i have forgotten its name.
Unfortunately there is no insurance anymore so we haven't raced since 2001.
My crew had 3 beetles before our current car, but we still use a kombi gearbox!

The QLD Event is called Banana Bash. And we actually got insurance last year. It ran in September 2003 and it looks like we will be running again in
either July or August this year as well.
I beleive we managed insureance due to our great accident record and the Specs on our cars were/are by far stricter than the other states. Apparently
our specs are pretty much CAMS equivilent.
Anyway, we won Banana Bash last year in our 318 Hemi powered Tube frame sedan based on a Dyna Truck Chassis.
The car is called "The Bull" and is the one on the right in this photo.

Awesome! You never know we might consider making the trek up to QLD to get in some racing! It looks like mudbash won't be getting insurance this
year, maybe my guys need to talk to your guys and find out how to get it...
We have had stupid accidents like the methanol 4wd buggies flicking up chunks of mud and hitting people in the head, but as far as i am concerned 4wd
buggies should have never been there in the first place.
