Paint scheme idea...
Just wondering what you guys think about this for a paint scheme idea.
I want the beetle to be black. But with a brown tint. Not metalic or flake, a tint in the paint. Maybe a clearcoat tint or something?
I was thinking of doing the traditional cream sides too. But then with all this on my mind when I went to bed, I had a dream (I don't believe in
dreams guiding you and stuff, but this was cool) with the car in this colour. With a toffee bonnet. So I've been thinking about it some more. And I
don't think the toffee bonnet would look too bad at all, really. With some sign writting on the bonnet in the body colour and done in 1950's
hot-rod/speedway pinstripe style.
What do you all think? And do you think it would look okay with the sides being toffee coloured as well as the bonnet?
And since it's an oval, I even thought of getting an friend of mine to make up a W decklid in aluminium and leave it polished.
It's going to be a club car and I've always loved the old classic rally vehicles of the 50's. So I think this could be an interesting twist on the
theme.
Anyway, I'd love to hear all of your thoughts and critisms on the idea and also any further suggestions.
Thanks,
Cam

i recon bright white sides (rather then cream) would look better, the black with brown tint sounds very cool or maybe full toffee (also with white
sides), cant picture the mis-matched bonnet tho. old school imitation racing insignia could be cool too.

naa, not too keen on it being all toffee coloured Just the sides and bonnet. Plain white is'nt really my thing. I'll try and find a toffee colour
sample to post up here. I could only think of tofee to describe it. It's like a cream, but richer and darker. But not like the brown toffee you
get.
I thought it would be abit unique and different, but I'm more than open to suggestions.
hrrm... Might cross post this one I think
Cheers,
Cam

Thanks Sam. I quickly knocked one up. The bonnet has no definition nor sign writting, so you'll have to use your imaginations.

nice dude but maybe just do the depressed part of the bonnet in coffee and leave the raised in black. im going the black with orange route and i now
think that the two dpressed halves of the bonnet might get the orange treatment but will leave the outer of the bonnet in black. My original idea was
black bonnet with oldskool thin fat thin racing stripe either centered or offset.
