Does anyone know anyone is Brisbane that does this, as I am looking at getting it done to my 'Non-VW' toy.

how to do it
i watched him to do a couple at the jamboree and hu uses a small kind lw rev grinder to remove some rubber then paint into the groove. his set up.
kind of rotated the wheel like a lathe and a disc on a extension was held against the wheel. i think he painted by hand while wheel was rotating .

do the wheels have to be removed from the car? and what is drying time like?
is it a take the car in.. and in a few hrs drive it away?.. i only got one set of tyres...
and is $80 a good price for all 4 done?.. i thought it'd be far more expensive!

whitewall painter guy retires
Don came round and did my tyres...turns out he's pulling the pin and handing over the reins to someone else. Top bloke he is too.
Procedure is pretty simple. First he jacks the car up, leaving the wheels on, he puts a little contracption he invented underneath which slowly turns
the wheel around, gently shaving a fraction off the the surface of the tyre wall (Don assures me in 40 years of performing this procedure he's never
so much as even weakened a tyre wall).
Then, with the wheel still turing slowly, he paints on the white wall. Magic. And it looks great.
$20 a wheel is pretty damn good when you compare it with a set of Cokers at $300 each!
highly recommend it.
Good luck Don, happy retirement.:party |

By the way, they're ready to go immediately. I'm sure Don would be happy to pass on the details of the new gut too.
