carpet adhesive
Putting new carpet in the soft notch...the carpet place just supplied the shagpile, but couldn't give me any tips on what glue to stick it to the new
floor pan with.
Got some nice bitumen underlay and kept the rubber mat to go between it and the carpet.
But what adhesive should I use to stick it to the body? Any suggestions dub guru's? |

Monkey or Gorilla Snot
ie Shelleys contact adhesive.
One point though - i bought a small tube the other day and it was white. Didnt seem as strong as the good old snot coloured stuff.

get a can of 'gel grip' for vertical surfaces. way easier to manipulate than gorilla snot. selleys makes one and norton 'bear' makes one. if you
want it to stick with no sag, put it on both sufaces, wait five minutes, or til it isn't fully tacky (your finger's don't stick when you touch it)
and then whack em together........ INSTANT BOND!!!!
hence "contact adhesive"
yarrgh!!

Hey all
Just a quick question, Do beetles need to have the carpets stuck down or do they have scuff plates.
I bought carpets and have put them in but i still need to trim the edges down so it fits properly, havent wanted to do that till i know how it is
finished off.
I really dont want to stick it down as i know it will be pulled up every now and then, but i do want it to look neat.
