Race Buggy

This is my money pit. The photos are 3 weeks old and yes I have taken the old sponsor name off in Ms paint. The gearbox and motor go in this weekend for the second last time, its been in and out for fabrication so many times but will only come out now for painting the chassis after I have driven the car

Niiiccce !

With schock towers that big, can I assume that there are some Kerr shocks coming your way ?

What engine is going to live in it ?

When this one gets log booked, I think that would make it 3 vw powered buggies in the offroad racing scene (though one has a passat motor and doesnt count :) )

Looks the goods - single seat class 9 is it ?

No to the Kerr Shocks, sway-a-way 12" 7/8 shaft rear and bilstein front all coilover but

What engine is going to live in it ? Pobjoy 1916

Neh Its got a Pobjoy sump, I have raced with one years ago and had no probs (but there was this one time lol). Dry sumps are cool but more thing to go wrong. If your gunna do it you would use at least 10lt that 10kg plus the tank/lines. Though the sump drops down about 50mm and I lose clearance it make the whole package reliable

very nice. looks good for those open straights you have over there. may be a bit of a handlefull for the tighter tracks in the east. Still i sure beats the old class 6 i once had. oh how i wish i still had a race car.

I got it bare from buddy crow
it had the front cut off and no rear arms (bare)
Ihave had it on the go for 3years. Or the alloy hubs and coilovers are now mounted (still no coils but) and i got the motor in tonight
The car started life as Matt Martin's number 9 but nothing is the same

yes sold all our race cars but hoping to get either a class 4 baja or if the money fairy is kind one of the new desert trucks that the late Richard Bennet made. I have 8 14inch fox shocks coppies that we have made nearly finished just waiting to go onto a new race car. May have to go on the new turd baja.
Yes i remember racing against your frame When matt owned it, when we had a stadium event up here is Bris many years ago. I lost really bad trying to compete in the open class. won the class 3/6 final

You need to resize your pics to <50kb or they will just get deleted. They may last a day or two.
