Watch What You Joke About!!!

In a newsletter I received today. The column is called 'Window Seat', the travel industries equivalent to 'Odd Spot'

A GREYHOUND bus driver in
the USA who joked to his
passengers that he was taking
them to the Taliban found his
coach surrounded by more than a
dozen police cars before he was
ordered off and arrested for
disorderly conduct.
Passengers called police after
Robert Mickens allegedly made
the remark in response to
comments on his choice of route
for a trip from Philadelphia to
New York.

A BOY of 15 has been taken off
a British holiday aircraft after
claiming to have a bomb in his
luggage.
The JMC Boeing 757 was
about to take off for Gatwick
from Faro in Portugal when the
youngster made his comment.
He was removed from the
plane, along with his mother and
her boyfriend and JMC is
reportedly refusing to fly him
back to Britain.
“We will not tolerate this sort
of irresponsible behaviour”, a
spokesman is reported as saying.

Hmmm, funny piece the other week about a new 'Escorted' Tour product ;) Well there must be a demand

OK another couple, but have deleted all other newsletters cos I get them daily

A RAIL worker in northern Italy
is facing the sack because his
frequent attacks of diarrhoea are
causing major delays.
On one occasion travellers had
to wait 33 minutes for the
40-year-old to return from the
toilet to give the departure signal.
Train company Trenitalia has
decided to begin legal action after
complaints from drivers and
passengers.
The man risks a $10,000 fine or
a year’s jail for interrupting a
public service.
His lawyer says he’ll be
bringing a medical statement to
court explaining his problem.
nd they mount up.

TWO elderly Dutch tourists
have been fined NZ$200 because
they have false teeth.
The husband and wife failed to
declare two apples when they
arrived at Christchurch Airport in
NZ last week.
They’d been given them during
their Singapore Airlines flight to
NZ, but couldn’t eat them
because there were no knives and
they had false teeth. They put
them in a bag and forgot about
them.
A report quotes SQ as saying it
goes out of its way to warn pax
against taking fruit into NZ.
The same report carries the
heading: Beware of stewardesses
bearing apples.

OPERATORS of the Golden
Gate Bridge in San Francisco are
so strapped for cash that they’re
asking users for their loose
change.
Bridge gm Celia Kupersmith
told the San Francisco Chronicle
at the weekend that the action has
been forced by the most serious
financial crisis since the famous
structure was built in 1937.
Any currency is accepted.

BEIJING authorities are offering
rewards to visitors who provide
better English translations for
bilingual signs placed at 60
attractions across the Chine
capital.

Am I going to break Adams post record for yesterday? Think I might be having one of those days:D

Waiting for some guys to come and take a couple of massive fans and a dehumidifier away that have been running none stop for a couple of days.

Monday put a load of washing on and went out to garden. Heard water running and thought daughter was in shower, then my thoughts changed to having a very long shower as usual, and then I noticed she was still on the computer. Of course she thought I was in the shower. The hot water hose had come off it's tap fitting:o

Lucky I'm with AAMI:)

When are they going to arrive!!

p.s. Never put foating laminate timber flooring in wet areas they don't go together real well if there's a flood.

Need a laugh?

Todays 'window seat'

EROTIC dancers in Las Vegas
can continue to accept tips in
their G-strings without fear of
action by undercover police.
City officials voted Wed to
drop a proposed rule which could
have outlawed the long-time
practice.
The Las Vegas Dancers
Alliance says a drop in tourists in
recent months has already hit
incomes and the rule would have
worsened the problem.

They do rely on tips in the hositality industry over in the US of A, not joking.

“TO invest in the airline industry
you’d have to be taking a lot of
drugs or be really dumb”.
A US aviation analyst
commenting on ABC radio this
morning on the likelihood of a
United Airlines bankruptcy
filing.

Wonder if he still has a job?:)

Not sure whether to laugh or....

Sorry had to post this one. Are you going to have couples being tense, romantic or tensely romantic:jesus

Hmmm, talk about pressure to perform and come up with the goods

FORGET P&O’s Love Boat.
Singapore’s getting the real thing.
A local doctor plans to fight the
nation’s falling birth rate by
encouraging couples to conceive
during overnight cruise getaways
to resorts in nearby Indonesia.
They’ll first get special ‘lessons
in love’, as the Straits Times
expressed it at the weekend, and
then sail off for a night of passion
at a ‘fertility resort’ on the islands
of Batam or Bintam.
Total package for two will cost
about $1000.
The Straits Times says the
cruise boat will take up to 14
couples and sailings are planned
from next month.
