To bead or sand blast a 58 Split...?

:sandrine
Just starting to resto my 58 Split & I have a question & am asking your opinions please.
Do I Bead or sand blast my Split.
Some people say, to sand blast is too rough on the panels & will damage them, is this true?
I guess there probably 2 sides to this, but I want the best way to go about my resto...

BEAD/MEDIA (plastic) Sand is too hostile and roughens and 'upsets' the surface of the metal. It;s okay on bulldozers, but not the best for cars. You want to leave the factory phospor (I think! - it's grey) rust proofing surface in place as much as possible. Also cuts down on refinishing time - less need for spray putty and stuff
