Don't touch it!

If thats original paint, then leave it .
It has sat outdoors this long and is just faded,so put it in a shed and think about it before taking the rare magic of an original paint bus away forever. In my opinion busses like these are priceless and nobody else will have the same one, they are a time capsule anybody can paint a kombi with shiny new paint. You would be surprised what a good cut and polish would do and if you don't really want it sell it to somebody who will keep it original as there are not too many left like this.

Nice..

You still haven't told me where it is..

I'd rat it mate, at the very least pick it up, take it home, and leave it.. LEAVE IT. Surface rust won't be going through ya metal in a hurry, so leave it. Collect ideas, save money for a resto, or rat it, or sell it..

Mate.. Its in the country!!

Just got off the phone, we are lifting it out in the next few days.. I am going to need a set of wheels and a front wheel hub and assembly to get it off the trailer and have a rolling body.. Then I'm going to clean it and maybe protective coat with something that doesn't alter its state.. Check it all out, then think a bit more.. I'm already a bit attached as, if it is a 59 model, its as old as me!!

What a great find! Good thing too that someone who cares found it, rather than someone looking for scrap metal!

Jealous.
