Replacing door card backing

Whats the best material for replacing door card backing ?.
I thought of ply but then wondered if it would be too rigid
in the back of the notch as its got a slight curve and the clips wouldn't hold it in properly.

Thanks

Howdy
I replaced my door cards with MDF a you can bend the bow in to it.
I cut out the shape and all the holes for the door latch ,winder and arm rests then laid some bricks on the lounge room floor placed the card on it then 2 bricks along the middle over night. next morning perfect bow to the shape of the door. Hope ths helps
