CrewCab Update 2004

Finally getting near the end of this project.. The bumpers came back from All Metal Bumpers and have been fitted.. With new rubber steps they look fantastic.. Desert Bug supplied the 16"merc rims and they are mounted with brand new 215/60/16 GT radials..
I have selected the hardwood for the dropgates and have ordered the stainless hinges.. Last thing to do will be to paint and tidy the inside, re-install the upholstery, panels etc and new headlining..

After all of this I am sad to say that I will be selling the Tonka truck in the very near future to fund another project.. (also my 72 deluxe bus will be back soon)..

So, if anyone is interested???

Rob

Not sure about the 16" rims though.. I have a set of 14" mags that would finish it off beautifully.. Lower rolling diameter though and the ride is great with the 16" rims... I guess it comes down to aesthetics or performance.. Hmmm.. Let me ponder!

Why? How could after all that hard work you've put in. However, you shouldn't have too much problems selling this baby, she is one sweet looking twincab.

Easy folks.. Yes I'm after a buggy project over winter for some summer fun next year.. Thats not all though.. I have the 59 panel to consider, my nearly fully restored 72 deluxe bus and a 74 panel..
Tonka is a great machine.. And if I sell.. I know the next owner will enjoy a well sorted ride..

Doesn't have to be manx.. just a good looker with reasonable HP.. Tooling around Bondi Beach and the odd trip to the central coast.. Yeah.. just like this one..
