If your into origionality like me, and your building an Oval... Sekurit is the glass brand you need to have in your pre 56 windows.

It also has to have the script the right way around.

My 63 bug has "armourguard" in a similar style circular stamp thing. I'm guessing its the original glass that was made in OZ. Do late CKD beetles have Sekurit glass?

I don't know about Kombis, but with Beetles, You can find sekurit glass in one year Beetle - say 1970, and then every other 1970 You see they are VWAust..
Some really late model beetles had securit glass, and then others are ALL VWA..
Most 68> Beetles glass is VWA....

I don't really care what My windows say.. they originally were sekurit as all semi auto Beetles were made in Germany..
both the door glasses are VWA...

no those 2 cars are not meant to be origional. however the glass in them is... and fitted the right way around except for the windscreens which are new.

I dont think anyone hasa good origional windscreen in there car and i wouldnt expect it either from a safety point of view.

The side and rear windows are adifferent matter in an Origional car. It looks terriable when there fitted upside down or thew wrong way around... only takes a little more effort to get it right. Ask Rob splitbus australia
