My '64 single cab
Couple of shots of my trusty old '64 single cab,
Engine is a 2007cc with a freeway flyer gearbox with stock reduction boxes, goes very well loaded up full of swapmeet stuff.

Dave, How did you manage to have a 2007cc motor in a car on Historic plates? I thought it had to be a stocker?

Steve,
I have a stock 1500cc engine for rego time, the other engine goes in if I have a trip to Sydney full of swapmeet gear, so I can get up all the
hills.
The 2007cc engine is a 78mm stroke crank with 90.5mm pistons, it is very tired, I pulled it out today for a rebuild, and slipped in my spare 1776cc
engine which has more than enough power to pull hills in top gear.
The freeway flier gearbox is a late 1300 beetle swing axle gearbox with a 3.88 ring and pinion from an "L" bug, this gives you just over 3000rpm at
60 mph, still using the reduction boxes for the stock look.
