VW cancels (well, changes dramatically) the Microbus

"Volkswagen AG has announced that they have decided not to pursue the current direction with the planned retro-styled Microbus due to costs and market conditions"

VW spins it as T5++ rather than Kombi++.

Well thats a real PITA.I had planned to try and get a dual cab version if and when they landed here.

Thank goodness, if the new 'kombi' was to look anything like that monstrosity in the photo on that page, I'm glad they decided not to do it.

Modern cars are so gross! Especially when they try to 'retro' style them.
