my dad's 2l 74 kombi regularly tows his 1300kg boat around.
towed it to sydney from brisbane once to watch the olympic sailing on the harbour

my grandfathers 57 used to carry the family of five (including luggage) from warnambool to the Grampians, and i think my father's 69 bug had a PB of
8 people plus surfboards.
