Good win to the Blues (unfortunately)..but to quote a cliche "it was the game that was the winner"
That golden point rule bites the big one. Should be 10mins each way.
Ends up being like winning the FA cup by a penalty shoot out.

Crap Game.. No intensity.. Lack of big men.. Bring back the King, Miles, Backo, Choppa (Close) and Shearer.. For the pale blues we need, Stirlo,

what a shitty old pathetic game that was!!!! the blues played as well as they could but queensland!!!! they could only make like 20 metres in attack
and would lose 60 or 70 metres when defending!!! some players played with no heart at all and i think ben ross was the only queenslander to run onto
the ball with a head of steam up, the rest just jogged up. here's my run down on it all and reccomendations. my qualifications include smacking brent
tate out of a high school game back when we were 16!!!!
RHYS WESSER- played well, threatened to make several breaks and great under the high ball. keep for origin 2.
BILLY SLATER- went great! limited opportunities but safe and fast!! always threatening and would of got a try had it not been a forward
pass.keep!!!
BRENT TATE- good defence but ordinary in attack apart from the try.keep.
PAUL BOWMAN- tried hard and defended well but really had nothing in attack. replace with shaun berrigan for origin 2.
JUSTIN HODGES- piss this girl off. he has plenty of talent but no heart at all. messed up the first half and had a better second half but had hardly
no positve input at all. replace with schivkoske or however u spell it for origin2
CHRIS FLANNERY- did nothing special, just solid. replace with lockyer for origin 2, maybe a spot on the bench for him.
SCOTT PRINCE- had a fantastic debut, played like the little champ he is and deserves accolades more then anyone.hes got heart. keep origin 2!!!!!!!!!!
TONIE CARROL- defended strongly as always. solid but not spectacular in attack. every team needs a hardman though. keep origin 2.
DANE CARLAW- cant bag this pansy enough. big and muscular but soft as sometimes and another ordinary game for him. keep origin2, lack of options
MICK CROCKER- agressive in defence and attack, has the mongrel needed. wasnt his best match but he tried hard. keep origin 2.
SHANE WEBCKE- injury slowed him up but tried hard and gave it his all. average game for him. keep origin 2.
CAMERON SMITH- played his little heart out, had little support from forward pack and backline runners. did a lot of solo work and kicking. keep
origin2
STEVEN PRICE- good guy, good player, but slow as a turtle last night apart from his kick charge downs. gain some pace steve! keep
origin2,lackoptions
TRAVIS NORTON- little impact on game, little time though, keep origin2
PETERO CIVONOCIEVA- petro who? didnt see him do anythin too much, to be fair though its his first game in like a month. keep orign 2
BEN ROSS- gave it his all in the time he had on field, best of the maroons with his hitups for my money. star of the future. keep origin2.
MATT BOWEN- threatened when on but with no room to move with dismal forward pack. needed to run forward instead of dancin about. keep origin 2
there we have it! my opinion if anyone cares!!!! i concede defeat to the blues for game 1 but 2 more to go so bring it on!!!! up the queenslanders!!
