Won't idle, sometimes
Righto, got a 1600 single port in the kombi, stock as the proverbial rock.
Kick it in the guts & away it goes, but once it warms up, it may or may not idle.
Bastard picks its moments, stop in the driveway, it will idle, stop at a set of lights it wont.
Touch the throttle & it will rev, but turning up the idle does nothing.
I cleaned out the carby & changed the fuel filter. No difference.
The bloody thing runs like a bird, it just wont idle.
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

If it stops on deceleration (like coming up to a set of lights)
but will then start and idle its the idle circuit....clean (blow thru
might do) and adjust?

check the idle jet. It may become blocked with crap from your tank crappy fuel etc) or fuel line deteriation.
