stronger axles?

Is it possible to replace standard bay-window bus axles with stronger ones?

I'm not busting them, I want to build a stretch kombi, and I've been told I'll need stronger axles to register it (because of the extra vehicle weight).

So c'mon Desert Moose, ya cheeky bugger, can you tell me how? :P

Sorry ...... lol
Are you sure its the axle you need to do to register it. The RTA refers to the whole rear suspension as the rear axle instead of the bit between the CV’s. Maybe the Torsion bar needs to be done as well. As for the axles I can get racing axle made for you but someone on this forum has some for sale (say-a-way ones) and I think that’s the go for you as racing axles are over $700 a set.
I hope I have been helpful tis time
Moose
